Rods, Hogs & Rigs Extravaganza

Welcome To Rods, Hogs & Rigs

Dozens of proud car, motorcycle and rig owners will show off their prized possessions Friday, May 29th, 4:00pm–8:00pm, at the Maverik Center during the 7th Annual Rods, Hogs and Rigs Extravaganza fundraiser for Stansbury Elementary. Entrants travel from surrounding states to show off their vehicles and support the school. Stansbury, 3050 S. 2700 W. West Valley City, is a title one school, this means they do not receive a lot of government funds, for that reason the school struggles each year to educate and support its 800+ students. As a neighbor Kenworth Sales, 2125 South Constitutional Blvd, noticed their struggle and decided to adopt them. Kenworth needed to do something that would be both beneficial and fun for the school. That is when Rods, Hogs, and Rigs was born. What better way to bring the community together than an extravaganza where 100% of the proceeds go directly to the school? It was a rough start, of course, Kenworth’s employees have never put on a car show but it was well worth the effort, and still is today. Last year the show quickly outgrew Kenworth’s lot. There was over 700 attendees and at showcasing at least 150 vehicles. Along with the display, there were events available for all ages such as a stunt performance, a bounce house, face painting, cotton candy and much more! The show was graced with the presence of Grisbee, Bumble, JC Hacket, and even Utah’s Governor Gary Herbert came by to participate in the festivities. The show raised over $6,000 that helped the school expand education in many ways.

Now, seven years later Rods, Hogs and Rigs has become larger than ever. We have gotten together and made the executive decision to move the entire show to the Maverik Center, 3200 Decker Lake Drive, West Valley City, UT. Activities will begin 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and will include a car showcase, food, a raffle and activities appropriate for all ages! We put a lot of effort into bringing the families and businesses in our community together please consider joining with us to make this year the best yet.
